In the fall of 2006, we moved into our new waterfront home at The Retreat.  We were fortunate to have a very knowledgeable and experienced general contractor in Eddie Fort,  PD&M, Inc.  Eddie uses quality materials and subcontractors, and the pride in workmanship shows in the final product. 

While we encountered delays due to poor soil conditions that required additional foundation work, Eddie was diligent and resourceful in addressing those.  He is an excellent communicator, who kept us informed throughout the construction process. 

We found our experience working with Eddie to  be very rewarding, and would not hesitate to recommend him highly for any new residential construction work at Smith Mountain Lake.
